The Guiding Path

"LEADER" , a word so wrongly anticipated by many of us to be a "controller" or a person who has some type of authority over another or simply, a person who dictates the terms and we as puppets on a string, agree to whatever he has to say.
That is not what a leader is. Everything described above relates to something that is completely opposite of what a leader is supposed to be.
A leader is a person who gives you a task, helps you accomplish the hurdles, helps you overcome your fears and most importantly, acts like a support when you're about to fall and picks you right up when you do.

In the world we live in today, it's very difficult to come across people who possess the qualities of leadership. The current scenarios and current situations define rulers as people who dominate another, or who hand out tasks and do not do anything to help you achieve your goals. They aren't leaders. They're rulers.

How rarely do we ever come across people who actually want the betterment of others more than that of themselves? These people would do anything to see their counterparts or their colleagues succeed and become better at what they do. They are the real leaders.
Leadership is not about handing out tasks to people who can get it done.
It's about challenging a person by giving them something that isn't easy for them, supporting them through the task, and helping them overcome their fears along the way. That is what a leader is.

The best example of leaders, are none other than our parents. Say, a child comes home with a relatively less grade to what they expected in a subject. The parents would obviously not shout and threaten them. They would sit with the child, help him study, word by word, see where he's going wrong and help him get better one step at a time. This is bound to produce better results, also helps the child realize where he was lacking and get better at it.

We as students, don't understand our potential. Every single one of us is so gifted and so talented in many unique ways. You just have to find that spark, find the passion, find the fire which when ignited, will light the path not only for you, but for the many people who you will inspire. They will look up to you as a leader, and when that day comes, don't be a leader that they want. Be a leader that they need.

Leadership isn't a necessary option. It's a choice. Not all of us will be leaders, but all of us have the chance to be one. Take that chance, take up responsibility, and when you do, inspire the people, lead FOR growth and not TO grow. Lead because we are destined to do exceptional things with our life. Lead because we were born to.

Little things MATTER

Isn't it kind of absurd that people think playing sports is more of a time waste than it is a blessing? Yeah, sports are one of those many little things that makes a person happy, gets a smile on the person that is definitely worth a million and also, it brings the mind and body at peace. The same old, "Don't play else you will do bad in your exams" or something so confusing as, " you are thin hence you don't have to play ". It's things like these that are so annoying. Playing sports is more than just a physical exercise. It's a way of life. It helps in developing so many characteristics in a person. It helps in team spirit, mental and physical discipline, peace of mind and problem solving skills. There's a famous saying " leave a man alone in the ground and that is when you'll see how their behaviour is " I had the same old monotonous life growing up. I was never into much of sports and physical activities. But then, around 6...

The need to EXPRESS

In today's day and age, the world we live in, is a condescending mixture of bitter sweet occurrences. Some may be good, some bad. Because of all this, many of us would cave in and not do anything about it, many would find solace in themselves, and some may just be hesitant to manifest whatsoever they feel. " EXPRESSIONS" are a very important factor and expressing what we feel is imperative. The society we live in "forbids" us to exhibit what we feel and we as puppets on a string, don't do anything about it. We listen to the strangers of our society, following what those strangers do and confine ourselves with those isolated emotions kept hidden from everyone. Some people even feel that, to show emotions or to reveal what they feel weakens them, makes them more vulnerable, more prone to getting hurt. It isn't true. When we articulate what we feel, our brain goes through a rush of emotions; joy, sorrow and also mixed some times. Ever seen a painting, h...

A nature lovers photography

Hey guys, so starting off. I really wanted to talk about something I hold extremely dear to my heart. The art of Photography. I'm not that adroit at This , but I would love to give it a try. I'm am engineering student , and torn between my academics, extra curriculums and my long term goals , I just wanted to take out time to do something that really gives me happiness. "Photography" , it isn't just a word. It's a way of life. The joy a person gets when his camera is able to catch the perfect smile of a new born , or when the never ending "see you tomorrow hugs" of the good old school friends still remains intact in their albums. Many people mistake photographers to be happy and expect them to lead a life that is superior. That isn't true. A photographer sometimes just captures the smiles of an other person because he misses the smile of someone dear to him. Taking photos, and exploring the adventurous, fun , and possibly EVERY thing of anyone a...
